Our interests have changed very little since 2014, the biggest difference, of course, is that we now have two little monsters to dote on.
We still love to play video games, right this second Josh is playing Mortal Kombat (2011) on the Xbox, and, when I get the chance to, I’m working my way to 100% completion of Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Nowadays, Movie Night tends to consist of us renting a movie (either through the Xbox, TV, or going to a Redbox), eating dinner with J2, putting him to bed, then snuggling on the couch with J3 while breastfeeding.
The most recent ‘new’ movie we watched was Ghostbusters (2016), and we both thoroughly enjoyed it.
Our board game collection has grown considerably in the past two years, and we regularly play with family and friends. We have played two sessions of Seafall, a choose your own adventure game, and we’re really excited to see where it will go!
We’ve also developed our interest in Dungeons & Dragons, we recently started a new campaign with a couple of friends that I am ‘DM-ing’, so, I’ve put together the story and I run the sessions while they, through their characters, explore the world I’ve created.
Those are the hobbies that take most of our ‘free’ time, with the rest being taken up by the children.
We still love:
- Eating out, but we eat in a lot more than we used to.
- Music, it’s mostly classical Disney for me at the moment.
- Reading, although I’m finding it difficult to find time recently.
Above all else, we love our boys.
